Born in a family of artists, David Loran was immersed from his youngest age in a musical environment.
He spends his late teens organizing parties, initially to indulge his passion for music and quickly falls in love with the night world and house music listening to S-Express, Inner City's Big Fun and Who's In The House to name but a few...
Very lucky on his first visit to London: the Summer of Love has just kicked off. Unequivocally impressed he leaves France a few months later, moving to the British capital as he turns 19 and discovers the big DJ names like Sasha, Carl Cox, Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Junior Vasquez, Danny Tenaglia, Jonathan Peters, David Morales, Paul Oakenfold, Danny Rampling and many more...
Another lucky sign with the first time David mixes with Mr C, of Shamen’s fame, who will give him the basics of his thorough technical knowledge.
Quickly expanding on his talent for mixing, David starts playing in and organizing underground parties and raves with his brother, culminating in the opening of Ignition, a club in soho that will run in 1994 and 1995.
He then strikes a long and continuing relationship with Max Alientrax and Captain Tinrib (FISH), leaves London for a few years to live in Greece (Rhodes), New York and then Zurich, before moving back again to London where he will seriously start looking at producing music and study the likes of Daft Punk, David Guetta, bob sinclar and all electronica tracks produced by "the big names".
David's residencies include a one-year-stint in Rhodes, two years at Chinawhites in London, and he played, and in some cases still plays, regularly in Zurich clubs Kanslei, Magic Factory & Supermarket, Desfinado in Alicante, and La Cave du Genie in Paris.
When living in New York he hangs around with a lot of professional musicians, and starts playing keyboards. He still plays and produces his own music in a wide range of genres to this day.
Mix-wise, David's genre of choice is Progressive House, but he will play House, Funky House, Tech House and generalist more commercial House.
